ARTS 211 : Drawing I
My Work
Presented below are various projects I have spent ample time completing during my time as a student Interior Designer at Liberty University. This page displays specific projects from ARTS 211, Drawing I.
Two Point Perspective Drawing
Using a 4B leaded graphite pencil, a triangular scale ruler and bristol board, five boxes were created from a two point perspective. This is helpful when needing to show objects such as furniture more realistically on a floor plan, rendering or Interior Design presentation.

Final drawing of two point perspective
The three point perspective drawing was created using a 4B graphite lead pencil and bristol board. Two vanishing points were drawn on the horizon as well as a point in the middle which when using a triangular scale ruler, it easy to line up the points and create a box from a three point perspective. This is also important to know for the creation of realistic looking furniture.

Realism
Using a variety of drawing pencils including 2B, 4B and 5B as well as an electric eraser, kneaded eraser and bristol board, a realistic picture of a glass with fruit was traced on a light board and then copied to bristol board. After tracing the outline, hand crafted rendering skills were applied using the variety of pencil mediums and erasers.

Class Exercise
With the objective of practicing hand rendering, various lead weights and a kneaded eraser were used to copy the grey scale and sphere. After copying the basic shapes and outlines of the color forms, an eraser was used to blend the greys and make the object look rendered. This project was super beneficial to Interior Design as rendering is used often to make plans look more realistic.
